Greg Foster | Custom Builder - General Contractor
Greg Foster grew up on a family farm in Rappahannock County, Virginia, learning the practical skills of running and maintaining farm equipment, erecting and repairing buildings, and generally dealing with the many challenges farming can present.
After high school, he worked as a foreign car mechanic. Next, he worked as a firefighter for the U.S. Forest Service in Arizona, followed by a job in the timber industry in the Pacific Northwest. He returned to the East Coast to learn guitar building and furniture making.
He started building houses in 1984, developing a solid background in all aspects of the construction trade from foundations and framing to interior trim and metal roofs, finding his previous work experiences benefited him in his chosen profession. He has been building unique and distinctive custom homes ever since.
Greg believes homes should be solid enough to last for generations, should be as “green” as possible, and should satisfy each owner‘s individual needs and desires.
